In a world ravaged by a strange virus that drives infected people to suicide, Pierre travels with his daughter Norah through arid and depopulated landscapes in search of his youngest son, who has mysteriously disappeared. After several days of searching, Norah gradually loses all hope of finding her little brother, convinced that he has been infected. But Pierre refuses to give up: according to him, the “virus of despair” cannot affect children.
